The use of AI in the entertainment industry is accelerating across different sectors, including voiceover, film, TV, modelling, music, dance, and gaming. Whilst this technology is not yet widespread, the speed at which it is evolving makes this a not-so-distant reality.

The infringement of our members’ intellectual property and associated rights is a growing problem with the development of AI. Platforms and websites are digitally imitating Artists’ performances, likeness or voice without the required consent. We are also aware that previous contracts used to engage Artists before the development of generative AI, which transferred Artists intellectual property and associated rights to third parties, are being interpreted as authorising performance cloning.

With the help of leading academic and legal expert Dr Mathilde Pavis, we have created a new AI toolkit to give our members the tools you need to understand the landscape, protect your rights and ensure you are not being exploited. This includes a new template letter to request the take-down of unauthorised digital imitations of your performances, likeness or voice from platforms or websites.

Join our webinar to learn how you can use this new take down notice for tackling intellectual property infringement.

This webinar will take place on Zoom and the link will be emailed out to attendees at a later date.

This event is reserved for Equity members and their agents.

Don't miss out on the other events in this 3 part AI Toolkit Webinar series. Join us in Part 1 where we will be discussing our template AI contract and in Part 2 where we will be discussing our Model AI rider to incorporate into your contracts.
