Equity’s Student Deputies Committee brings together Deps from training institutions around the UK. This is the main way for student members to have their voices heard within Equity and to shape the future of the union. The Student Deputies Committee can submit motions to the Equity Council throughout the year, which have a direct impact on the union’s policies and the way the union is run. The Committee also submits a motion to the annual Equity Conference and sends Student Deputy representatives to vote on the union’s policies for the coming year.

Committee Members - About us
I study Performance Design, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – I’m determined to break down the barriers so many face when entering our industry, and fight for a fairer society.
I study Musical Theatre at Urdang and I got involved with equity to be a part of the change the industry needs
I am currently studying at LAMDA and I got involved to help increase awareness of Equity at my school.
I am in my third year in training at LMA Liverpool in Acting and Performance. I joined as a Student Deputy because I wanted to help how young actors are treated when entering the industry.
I believe establishing a strong, inter-school student voice is a vital step in making significant and progressive change within our industry.
I am in my final year of the Contemporary BA course at London Contemporary Dance School, and the reason I got involved in Equity is that I am passionate about creating accessible spaces for students by continually advocating for change in the industry.
